I’m a lifelong outdoorsman with a deep passion for grouse hunting, fly fishing, and the special bond I share with my bird dogs. Growing up, I was introduced to the outdoors by my dad, who instilled in me a love for the wilderness and the joy of spending time in nature. From fishing on tranquil waters to hunting in the crisp morning air, I’ve been lucky enough to experience the beauty of the outdoors since I was a kid.
Bird hunting holds a special place in my heart, especially when I'm out in the field with my bird dogs. There’s something extraordinary about the connection between a hunter and their dog, and it’s a relationship built on trust, teamwork, and respect. My first bird dog taught me so much, but it was Waylon, my Field Trial Champion bird dog, who truly left a lasting legacy. Although he’s sadly passed, his memory continues to shape how I approach my hunting and training today.
Fly fishing on my Hyde drift boat is another passion of mine. Whether it's casting in a quiet stream or exploring new fishing spots, the peace I find on the water brings balance to my life. It’s all about the experience—the thrill of the catch, the serenity of nature, and the deep satisfaction of time spent outdoors.
In both my professional and personal life, I value honor, honesty, and compassion. As a firefighter, I’m committed to serving my community with these values, and I apply the same principles when I’m out hunting or fishing.
